Welcome to the Hays Street Café!

We are located at 21 Hays Street, in beautiful Bridgeport, California. We have been in business since 1986, serving breakfast and lunch from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the summer, and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the winter. We offer outside dining in the summer with excellent views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. If you have a motor home or large truck, it’s no problem; we have plenty of parking available.

We pride ourselves on our clean establishment, and our friendly service. Just a few of our specialties are fresh Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits, Buttermilk Pancakes and Cinnamon Rolls. Our Hash Browns are made from fresh potatoes, grated daily, and cooked in real butter. We prepare homemade soups and fresh cut French Fries on our lunch menu, as well as fresh garden salads made from baby greens and romaine lettuce.
